ST Reflection 2009 – Secondary 2NA / 2E
Term 1, Week 7 (16 Feb 09)
No Loitering After School (IN! pg 7)

Q1) Why Coral Secondary School forbids students to idle around near their school in their school uniform?

Answer : They want to show that they care for their students
. They do not want the students to wear their uniform doing some bad things outside where the public can see , where this will spoil the school reputation .

Q2) Do you agree with this rule? Explain your answer.

Answer : I do not agree with this rule. As we all know, teenagers tend to travel around more often with their friends to shop, drink, play or even for group work. I understand that the school doesn't want pupils to be involved in theft, fights or accidents, but they should not deprive them of their basic freedom such as going shopping after school. I feel that the school is being too selfish as the school only wants to protect their own reputation and image so that when their students get into trouble its not directly their problem.
